College Reality

When we were in middle school or high school, they say “You should try your best to get into a great college like Berkeley or State!” Then when we get closer to Senior year of high school, we get sucked into this idea that only people with ridiculuosly high GPA and AP classes will get into UCs or State. But no matter where we end up, its not about the grade that makes the difference, its the fact that you learn. And it doesnt matter if you fell on your face doing so. Sure you didn’t meet the UC or State requirement but JCs aren’t so bad either. Honestly, I hear so many people going to JCs just so that they can finish their GEs faster and pay half what we pay here at State. What I’m trying to say is, just because you think you dont have enough to get into one place that doesnt mean that you have to give up. If your dream is to go to college, get a degree and a great job to contribute to society. Then do it. Its not gonna be easy but its possible. Don’t let other people tell you otherwise.
